We recommend using #7 straight wine corks for champagne or screw-top bottles. Soaking them in hot water for 30-60 minutes before bottling will make them more pliable. A good idea, especially if you are using a hand-held corker to get these into the bottles.
These first quality #7 corks are a high quality, agglomerated cork. These "agglo" corks are made from uniform shavings and unused portions of cork, and are mixed with appropriate food grade glue to form a dense, well-made cork. The corks are chamfered and are printed with a decorative grape leaf pattern.
